[ Kelp ] Tideland Earrings
$220.00
Woven to ground the wearer in tidal acceptance. Simply twined merino/silk-blend weft lines topped with a mother-of-pearl button on a 1″ matte black ring. Chilkat warp thigh-spun with slivers of cedar bark hangs down 3″ from the ring, crimped with tin jingle cones.
Twined to accompany ceremonial regalia or simply to offer an aura of regality, both indigenous and non-indigenous folk are welcome and encouraged to adorn themselves in Native-made ceremonial garb such as these earrings. These adornments are not just infused with bougie glamour but ancestral tradition and strength.
These earrings are woven following the Ravenstail tradition, and therefore have a front and back. The third photo shows the back.
If warp ends take on a life of their own and begin “tweaking out”, simply dampen them with a touch of water and hang or lie the earrings in place to dry.
